Privacy Policy

What we collect, and what we don't.

Last updated: September 13, 2026. This describes how Skin & Truths actually handles data today, in plain language, not as a substitute for legal advice.

The short version

Skin & Truths is a static content site. There's no account system, no comment section, and nothing to sign up for. Reading an article doesn't require giving us any information.

What happens when you visit

Hosting logs

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like virtually any website, standard technical information (IP address, browser type, request timing) is processed by our hosting infrastructure as a normal part of serving pages and protecting against abuse. This isn't something we separately collect or hold as identifiable personal data.

Search feature

The search box on this site runs entirely in your browser against a static index of article titles. Nothing you type into it is sent to us or stored anywhere.

Email contact

If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to include (your address, name, message). We use it only to respond to you, and don't add it to any list without asking.

Cookies and tracking

As of the date at the top of this page, Skin & Truths does not use tracking cookies, analytics that identify individual visitors, or any advertising network. If that changes, for example if display advertising is added, this policy will be updated to name the specific services involved, describe what they collect, and link to their own privacy policies and opt-out mechanisms. The "Last updated" date above will reflect that change.

Advertising and affiliate links

This site does not currently carry advertising or affiliate links. If that changes, this policy will be updated alongside our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure page to reflect what data, if any, those partners collect (for example through click tracking on an affiliate link).

Third-party links

Articles link to external sources, including peer-reviewed journals and, potentially in the future, affiliate or advertising partners. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy doesn't cover. Check the specific site's own policy before providing it any information.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If how this site handles data changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
